Remember last summer’s anthem Function Of Your Love? This track from Jimmy Edgar ‘s third album ‘XXX’ on !K7 basically blew up every club’s sound system. The only release from Jimmy this year is a single, ‘New Touch’ (with remixes provided by Jacques Greene and Axiom Crux), which also is a bomb that worths checking out. The hot, raw, sexy Detroit-via-Berlin producer just dropped some ‘new’ old material – several unreleased and unfinished tracks, which date back to 2005. Herbie Hand On My Cock is a funky, low-down, synthetic jam while Love You Down is a remix of INOJ’s classic chart-topper that he did one night when discovering “a link to a shit load of accapella files” with Machinedrum. New Touch received another makeover; whereas Black & White Strip is a paced rework of his equally smooth 2005 title track from ‘Color Strip’. The spoken-sung vocal is gone but the tighter drumbeats will leave you aching for more!
