Hear two new remixes by Vessel

Tri Angle and Young Echo associate Vessel has shared two new tracks with the world. Self-Titled Mag are hosting a typically foreboding remix of El Perro Del Mar Hold Off The Dawn, a track with machine gun percussion and disembowelled vocals. The second sound is the most interesting though, at least on paper – it’s a re-edit of George Michael’s Careless Whisper, uploaded to Soundcloud last night. The uptempo edit teakes a single vocal loop – “take your hand and lead you to the dancefloor” – and runs with it, the endless repetition twisting the words beyond meaning. Conspicuously, there’s no saxophone in it – we know Vessel is a dark so-and-so, but to remove the sax is surely a criminal offense.
