Groundislava - Weekend In The Tropics

Groundislava AKA Jasper Patterson sits comfortably on top of the American weird-electronic scene. Some of his past remixes have been pretty humourous – his recent auto-tuney take on Jamie Foxx and T-Pain’s _Blame It* is a good example.

His latest digital musical feat is Weekend In The Tropics which will also feature on his ‘TV Dream’ EP, out on June 26th. This one still incorporates the computer game childishness that he’s previously fed us, but not in such big portions this time. Bouncy Hawaiian beach-style bleeps, synth and bass work together to create this perfect summertime tune – the fact it’s called Weekend In The Tropics kind of gives this away, too.
