DVA - Pretty Ugly

DVA, shortened from Stratcha DVA, is a well-known figure in the UK dance music scene and, after a long stint hosting the popular breakfast show on Rinse FM, has turned to focus on his production.

His first LP ‘Pretty Ugly’ is big, full listen with guest vocalist galore and DVA delves far and wide to bring various influences together with an underlying current of UK funky running throughout to keep it all cohesive. The album has great depth too and cuts like Eye Know and the closer Where I Belong switch up the tempo and show another side to his very soulful sound.
