Cokiyu - Twinkle Way (feat. Baths)

If you need some easing through the midweek blues, then let Japanese artist Cokiyu direct you into an all-too-brief daydream. Next week will see the release of her ‘Haku’ EP on Tokyo’s flau label – which we recently featured with this Masayoshi Fujita remix. The EP will feature Twinkle Way, a collaboration with Anticon’s vocalist Baths. It’s pure pop hypnagogia – but one that’s driven along by Cokiyu’s resolute beatwork – which successfully sidesteps things becoming too soft and cuddly round the edges. Stream it below.
