CHXFX - 'The Unhaptic Synthesizer'

Further Records have issued a set of modular experiments from Northampton synthesist Nochexxx (operating under the name CHXFX). Named ‘The Unhaptic Synthesizer’, the record is a collection of experiments and sketches performed on vintage modular synths that recalls the work of 60s and 70s electronic experimenters – the sort that are likely to be celebrated in Nonclassical’s forthcoming Pioneers of Electronic Music festival. As is the nature of modular synthesis, the sounds often get a bit chaotic and unpredictable – and that’s exactly how it should be.
