Chip has unleashed a new freestyle, ’10 Commandments’, making repeated aims at Stormzy.

The diss track follows two other sends; ‘Flowers’ and ‘Killer MC’, released by Chip in October last year that have not yet been replied to by Stormzy (although fans believe that the indirect sends on Stormzy’s verse in recent Ghetts track ‘Skengman’ may have been intended for Chip).

Produced by M1OnTheBeat, the new track features lines like: “Hashtag Merky, but you’re not a merker” and addresses Stormzy pulling up at Chip’s house last year: “Yo, one minute you’re on home invasions / Next minute you’re at strangers, paintin'” (a reference to Stormzy surprising a fan in Croydon by painting his bedroom).

Although the pair had previously worked together, collaborating on 2014’s ‘I’m Fine‘ and 2015’s ‘Hear Dis’, on the release of ‘Waze’ from Chip’s 2020 collaboration project with Young Adz, Stormzy believed Chip’s verse to be aimed at him (even though the bars were possibly for Mez). Stormzy then fired back at Chip through his Tion Wayne & Dutchavelli feature on ‘I Dunno’.

Listen to ’10 Commandments’ below.

Last week, Chip revealed Young Adz and Young MA collaboration ‘Lumidee‘, a taste of forthcoming mixtape ‘Snakes & Ladders’ that samples the 2003 single ‘Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)’.
