Cat Power - Ruin

After waiting six years for Cat Power to release any original material, the time has finally come. Marshall’s new LP ‘Sun’ is due for release on September 3rd via Matador Records and first track Ruin is perhaps her most luminous and high-spirited record to date. With a simple but captivating piano/drum melody running through the core, Sun seems to roll forward effortlessly and self-propelled like a traveller as Marshall sings of the beautiful ruins to be found at home.
