Amber-Simone finds love in a Dalston supermarket in the video for ‘Strawberry Kisses’

21-year-old East London-born Amber-Simone is a strong newcomer in the world of nu-disco. Drawing on influences ranging from ‘80s film scores to Metronomy, she’s been nudging the genre in fresh directions through a steady stream of singles, tapping into sounds of funk, soul and electronica to create something instantly feelgood.

Her latest single, ’Strawberry Kisses’, feels dually nostalgic and fresh at the same time, while the video (which we’re premiering below) finds Amber in a Dalston supermarket, eyeing a boy she likes in-between the crisps and juice aisles.
