Airbird round-up

One of 2011’s most interesting bands was the digital psyche of Ford & Lopatin. Now, Joel Ford is unveiling more of his Airbird project, including this terminally chill track We Used To. Sumptuous in scope, generous with its melodies and flawless in vision, it’s a very promising opening from a very talented bloke. It follows previous arpeggiated explorations Part Of The Game and Rotating Cloud, and, like Part Of The Game suggests a rare love and understanding of electronic pop. Expect a release on his own Mexican Summer imprint, Software, soon.
