Eats Everything - Dirtybird promo mix

Daniel Pearce, aka Eats Everything, has released another in a string of recent mixes, this time on behalf of San Fancisco’s Dirtybird imprint, as they ramp up the noise ahead of a Fabric takeover on November 5th.

The mix is on a straight-up 4-4 tip and contains a parade of warming, bass-heavy selections with a distinctly sweaty, dancefloor bent. There’s no tracklist, but highlights include a tasty rehash of Solomun’s Around plus a belting (and brave) rework of Circles by Adam F.

Label owners and scene-defining producers Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin, have thrown their influential weight behind him and subsequently released db059, the Eats Everything EP, on Wednesday. Stream it here.

The support Pearce is receiving from the US is clearly rubbing off on the UK dance music set. Annie Mac excitedly drew breath during her prime time show on Friday, to announce that Eats Everything will have the honour of curating a BBC Essential Mix, live from Motion in Bristol on 26th November. A prize to rival the best the UK underground has to offer.

Also worth a listen is Eats Everything’s podcast for Electronic Groove. It’s a more direct showcase of his own productions and includes a fantastic refix for Huxley, forthcoming on Hypercolour and an edit of the Faith Evans-sampled Is This Something by Coat of Arms, Pearce’s collaboration with Birmingham-based producer Chris James.

Eats Everything will appear alongside Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin for the Dirtybird showcase at Fabric London on November 5th, 2011.
