So, your band is awesome. How’s everything going?
Thankyou. Everything has been awesome. We have been traveling a lot and writing new songs.
What’s the idea behind the mix?
The mix is loaded with our own productions as well as remixes of Lemonade. The other music is a bunch of tracks that we like. There was never a concept behind it, we just got rolling and went with the vibe, kinda like a live set.
How would you describe it?
Diverse. Bassy. Lots of “ethnic” percussion. Kinda pretty sometimes. It isn’t too genre-bound. It is more suggestive of our DJ sets and remixes perhaps, but you will find many of these elements and sounds in our own songs.
There’s a lot of like “tropical” music on the mix. How come?
Tropical music is a huge influence on all sorts of dance music in one way or another, though sometimes the influence is more explicit. Tropical music has always been part of our vision for Lemonade. It’s a state of mind, like when we close our eyes and imagine where we want to be it involves blue water.
