House Of Trax #15: mixed by Rushmore

Descending onto the next House Of Trax club night is NYC subcultural underground icon Venus X. Best known for her uncompromising, blistering DJing style, she remains a unique and progressive figure, consistently pushing the boundaries and challenging ideas regarding politics, religion, sexuality, identity, and religion. Having founded the now-defunct, scene-blending GHE20G0TH1K (pronounced “ghetto gothic”) parties with Hood by Air’s Shayne Oliver in 2009, the Harlem-born, Dominican-Ecuadorian artist has also collaborated with A$AP Rocky, making a guest appearance in his Peso music video.

On Saturday 18th May, Venus X will once again bring her eclectic selection of music to House Of Trax. Ranging from B-more club hits to German hardstyle, futuristic dancehall to live chopped-up hip hop, industrial metal to dystopian house and beyond, her set will surely make for an unmissable blast. Further information and ticket details here.

House Of Trax resident Rushmore has also crafted up a top-notch, internet-inspired mix ahead of their event, ploughing the depths of a string of eccentric, ghetto-fabulous tracks, available for stream below.
