Ed MacFarlane, of Friendly Fires and “sensational dancing” fame, uploaded this laid back half-hour mix to his Soundcloud yesterday.

Full of slow, contemplative guitars and an eerie lack of voices for the most part, the mix weaves and tolls melodically. It’s a beautiful blend of the uplifting and sombre, so sit back, turn the volume up to drown out the wind and rain, and try to imagine what mournful shapes Ed might have thrown while putting these particular tracks together.
