Boards of Canada - live PA from 1999

I grew up on Boards Of Canada and now walk around comparing all vaguely ambient music with slightly detuned synths and beats that verge on undefined to them. The Scottish duo haven’t released anything since the EPs off their 2005 album, The Campfire Headphase, which contained many brushes with guitars and even slower, more nebulous drum programming than usual. I took a break from lamenting their lack of new music, and banging on about how Lone and Machinedrum help the grieving process, to uncover a live PA from 1999 by the guys. The tense plucks of Zoetrope give way to 45 minutes of pure Boards of Canada bliss-out perfection, spanning their first few releases with a couple of unknown beauties to finish things off.
