Blackest Ever Black's Resident Advisor mix

Blackest Ever Black are a London label that specialize in the darker side of things. There’s is a keenly honed aesthetic, a knowingly overblown take on all that is dark and a little pompous. They’ve released some great music from Raime, Tropic Of Cancer and Regis, and are throwing a party in London at the end of October, which promises to be rather a darkly different way to spend a night out. This mix, taken from their Resident Advisor Label Of The Month feature, is purely composed of tracks on the label, and provides a solid introduction to the atmospheric gloom they’re so good at giving us. Listen below, and download it over on Resident Advisor. Also, make sure you read label boss Kiran Sande’s, er, colourful, words on the label, which includes the statement “Blackest Ever Black is nothing if not the sound of one man’s struggle to give up smoking”.
