Auntie Flo - Highlife Mix

Auntie Flo’s signature sound of congas, chanting, and world music over elements of house, techno, afrobeat, and cumbia has gotten a lot of notice in the last year. Standout singles Highlife and Oh My Days have turned up in sets ranging from Boiler Room sessions to the conga king himself, whose first ever UK gig was booked by Auntie Flo incidentally, Ricardo Villalobos. The Goan born Glaswegian also promotes a clubnight, called Highlife as well, which maintains a global melting-pot musical philosophy similar to his productions. He’s just put out this mix of Highlife guests and residents since the party’s inception ahead of playing in Dalston, east London this Friday alongside Tim Sweeney, James Priestley, and John Heckle. Jam this mix out with its dizzying array of both musical and world influences that makes for prime dance-floor fodder, but doesn’t state the obvious.
