Airhead - 1-800-DINOSAUR Mix

R&S Records’ Airhead has given us this super mix in anticipation of his co-run 1-800-DINOSAUR night taking place this Saturday. Kicking off with one of James Blake’s unreleased gems and house-y garage before delving into heavyweight dubstep territory, it’s a celebration of the influence of the nightclub hosting him – East London’s seminal Plastic People. Keeping things interesting throughout, Airhead switches it up from classic Kerri Chandler house to Mala to a track from Call Super, the artist to inaugurate Fabric’s new Houndstooth imprint.

After a late night of playing records on tour, James Blake, R&S’s Dan Foat, Airhead, Klaus and Mr Assister decided to launch a night together. Their music policy is, quite simply, “anything goes”, and they tell you to “come graciously unprepared and expect a good time”. Make sure to keep an eye on their Tumblr for future dates.
