Slipknot backstage

Revolver mag celebrate Slipknot month by featuring never-before-seen photos of the Slipknot memorial tour. The photos were taken backstage and during their performances, and edited by Clown (Crahan) himself.

Paul Gray’s death was sudden, drummer Jordison expressed in an interview “I lost my best friend, you know. We lost a musical soulmate.”

Prior to his death, Gray had been working on an album with Hail!, a metal supergroup featuring past or present members of Judas Priest and Sepultura.

I actually saw their last show of the tour at Sonisphere, and it was an intense and emotionally charged performance. The rain was pouring and Slipknot “Maggots” were crying all around me, fists punching the air. You can see a few photos from this particular performance at the end of the gallery below.
