Live Broadcast: Shabazz Palaces live in New York

At around 1am one recent Friday night in New York, the lights of SoHo nightclub S.O.B.‘s went down and two men ran through the crowd banging congas. Shabazz Palaces were in the house. The Seattle hip hop group eventually wended their way to the stage and set their instruments down next to a small collection of MPCs and synthesizers. What followed was a visceral demonstration of what made ‘Black Up’ one of the best hip hop albums of 2011.
