Jessie Ware at Theatre of Living Arts, 01/11/13

Last Friday on November 1st Jessie Ware played the TLA in Philadelphia, PA to a crowd that was bigger and livelier than ever. Jessie is a fantastic performer for many reasons, but a big factor is that she interacts with the audience and puts the spotlight on them, like she did to a new couple – who had been together for two weeks, apparently – that couldn't stop making out the whole show. She flashed her new engagement ring to the audience after someone in the crowd shouted "MARRY ME", and she often came close to the edge of the stage and looked into the eyes of her crowd, making it felt like she was singing directly to you.
