Aphex Twin

Aphex Twin arrived late, as we would expect, but this was the only sign of his famous obtrusiveness – his set was a surprisingly straight run through of his career, starting with selected ambient works, pulling through into more noisy AFX material, with slides into his lovely gloop jams as he projected the faces of audience members onto 20-foot screens dotted throughout the cavernous space and overlaid them with various effects, from the Aphex Twin logo to his twisted Come To Daddy-lear to data-moshing. But after steeling ourselves for three hours of pitch bent dogbarks over a video of an autopsy in reverse or something, the lack of weird shit was strangely disappointing.
