TOPS - Change of Heart

It's been a while since we heard from Canadian indie pop group TOPS – last time we wrote about them was all the way back in 2012, the year that they released their debut album 'Tender Opposites'.

That album brought with it all the requisite touring commitments, footage of which has been captured by the band and turned into the video for Change of Heart. It's not really the live performances that makes the clip, but all the bits in between, hanging out, goofing off, chatting shit, and waiting for stuff to happen. "In March TOPS went on a US tour with Calvin Love," the band say in a press release, "We borrowed a camera from our friend and recorded all of the fun times, the mundane times, friends we ran into, friends we met, and some total strangers. A lot of the footage was filmed at a house we rented with 8 other people during SXSW, and the rest is just being on the road or fucking around at shows and in motel rooms. Big thanks to all the friends that made it in, shout out to Sean Nicholas Savage, Calvin Love, Empress Of, Dylan III, Moon King. RIP ATH. Love, TOPS."  

Change of Heart is appearing on a double AA-sided 7" single, with new song Sleeptalker on the other side. That single is due for release later this month through Canadian independent powerhouse Arbutus Records, who will release TOPS' second album 'Picture You Staring' later this year. It's all very exciting.
