Jersey house hero Kerri Chandler embarked on a bizarre five-minute rant ahead of a show at Paris’s Rex Club on Sunday, warning the crowd that if they wanted “commercial shit” they should “get the fuck out”.

A YouTube video’s since emerged of the speech Chandler made at a party hosted by DJ Deep to celebrate 25 years of Paris’s seminal Rex Club, and the Legends parties Deep hosted during the 90s – not the sort of place you’d expect Guetta fans to accidentally stumble into. Whether Chandler was provoked, or just felt the time was right to get on his soapbox, is unclear. But if anyone’s going to offer “the motherfucking cash out my pocket” for “commercial motherfuckers to get out” then Chandler’s probably one of the few with the pedigree to pull it off. Just.
