Yeezy put on his game face, and a few other faces, at his show this weekend.
He stunned fans onstage at the Hurricane Sandy concert by twirling about in a fetching leather skirt, but Yeezy managed to one-up himself at Revel in Atlantic City last week.
Always one to make a theatrical entrance, the rapper debuted a couple of strange new looks in front of an icy winter wonderland backdrop during his 75 minute set, showcasing new tracks alongside old classics such as Touch the Sky. Most notably, he appeared with a face full of diamonds in a circular mask designed by (who else?) Margiela, to perform Rihanna’s Diamonds (above). Later on, he resurfaced bearing an uncanny resemblance to the abominable snowman in a feathered outfit, showing some real determination to make skirts cool. The fashion statement, meant as a nod to the release of G.O.O.D Music’s forthcoming album ‘Cruel Winter’, prompted tweets from onlookers stating that he looked like a “f*cking yeti”, a “frozen sperm” and a “disco ball”.
