Watch Frank Ocean perform three new songs

OFWGKTA singer Frank Ocean, whose debut album ‘channel ORANGE’ was one of our favourite records of 2012, performed three new songs at his show in Munich last night, and an upstanding citizen with a smartphone caught them all on film for your viewing pleasure. Tracks 3 and 4 find Ocean in a downtempo and contemplative mood, with rolling footage of a car driving through the desert, largely isolated guitar strums and stand-out lines like “I’m living in an idea/An idea from another man’s mind” setting the tone. Meanwhile, the snippet of track 1 suggests something far more uplifting, with its surge of piano chords, a marching beat and a riff based around “California.”
