François K gives credit to the edit in a stream from Boiler Room and Native Instrument's collaborative event at ICA London.
Boiler Room and Native Instruments joined forces earlier this autumn to explore the creative techniques that have inspired and shaped the face of modern electronic music.
Delving into the depths of remixing, re-arranging, and re-editing as their first topic, the music innovators presented the Credit to the Edit series. New York veteran François K and DJ / journalist Greg Wilson were brought together to explore the re-edit with topics ranging from the emergence of the 12” extended disco edit, through to new tools and technologies including the Stems format used by producers in the present day. Streamed live from the ICA in London, Boiler Room have now upped the stream for François K's set for those who may have missed it.
