Witty new flow from one of our generation's finest MCs gets a polka dot video treatment from director Rollo Jackson.
“I’m just being me,” Trim told Becoming Real in an interview for Dummy last spring. Which for the east London grime MC generally means stalking a brilliantly fine line between surreality and sharp wit. That humour can be found in abandon on Sheffield producer Walter Ego’s Trim-featuring new track Set Off. Ego’s Tetris beats provide plenty of stepping stones for Trim to bounce off, a motion that director Rollo Jackson echoes in this bold, polka dot video. It’s fun and fresh and coming out on Toddla T’s Girls Music label in a couple of weeks.
