The xx - Chained

The new music video for Chained, a track taken from The xx’s new album ‘Coexist’, has just been announced. This is the second single to come from their Young Turks-released album, which came out last month. Directed by Young Replicant, the video was made at The Creators Project, an ongoing global initiative by VICE and Intel dedicated to supporting artists in realizing their creative visions through technology.

The video of Chained possesses a dreamlike quality that compliments Romy and Oliver’s deeply moving voices, pulling your heartstrings while bringing together the softness and strength of the group’s simple and singular sound.

The London group explained in a press release, “Here is our new video for Chained! Directed by Young Replicant, who were a pleasure to work with. Spending 2 days underwater wasn’t quite as easy as we thought. We love how it turned out, hope you enjoy too, xx The xx”
