The Busy Twist - Labadi Warrior

The Busy Twist are a production duo based in London who fluently combine the sounds of UK bass music du jour with the drums and chants of African dance styles like soukous and kuduro. The difference between The Busy Twist and a bedroom producer with access to a Loopmasters African drums sample pack is that they have actually spent the past few years travelling between London and Accra, Ghana to work with and record with local musicians, and their new single, Labadi Warrior, is so named because it features the work of Ghanaian drumming group The Labadi Warriors, who also appear in the video.

The People's Ear will release Labadi Warrior on February 24th 2014.
