SOPHIE live at Just Jam

Online video channel Just Jam's takeover of the Barbican Centre on Saturday may have been shut down following police concerns, but the show still went on in a slightly different form. Rather than appearing at the London art centre, Just Jam moved the majority of their lineup, including RP Boo, Loefah, and Omar Souleyman, to a tiny Brick Lane venue, where they livestreamed the artist's sets against the channel's bonkers visuals.

It was obvious that some canny soul would upload some rips of the sets sooner rather than later, so here we have a 20-minute performance from SOPHIE, the super thrilling, super futuristic, and super fun pop producer behind last year's sublime Bipp. Given that there's barely any music from SOPHIE out there, it's a fine chance to hear some of the bizarre and brilliant shapes he's been throwing behind the scenes in all its grin-inducing, helium-ingested glory.

SOPHIE's set is like listening to a squiggly line rendered in audio, but the real treat is Just Jam's visuals – SOPHIE himself is nowhere to be seen, but you do get a wonderful performance art piece involving a flute, a blender, milk, an aubergine, and a micropig.
