Skin Town - Ice Crystal Palace

Near the end of 2013, Time No Place released LA duo Skin Town (Nick Turco, Grace Hall)'s first album, an oozing, smart feat of panache called 'The Room'. 

Now as they get ready to go off and make their second album, the intriguingly titled, 'Country', Skin Town have put out the video for the best song off 'The Room', the fused and chiming Ice Crystal Palace. With its title and sonic nature and tendencies, Ice Crystal Palace acts as the perfect succinct summation of Skin Town as a band: at once hot and cold. And the video, made by LA/Berlin-located gender non binary artist DJ Bongwater, is dedicated to the memory of American transgender teenager Leelah Alcorn, who killed herself at the end of 2014 as well as all "gay, transgender, and gender non binary people everywhere."

The video has frigid "ice crystal" mountains, whales, people doing a choreographed dance with the footage saturated neon pink, and fireworks mingled with shots of Hall roaming around with a translucent covering reminiscent of Jason's. Nice shout out to Pictureplane in the form of his Robin S. t-shirt that Hall wears!
