Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris – We Found Love

Rihanna launched the official video for her latest single on Wednesday, featuring Calvin Harris – the 90s house-influenced We Found Love. It’s a gritty exploration of a relationship in turmoil, containing strong references to sex, drugs and…dancing topless in wheatfields.

Whether the song is a direct reference to her infamous relationship with R&B star Chris Brown, or not, hasn’t been divulged. However, the striking similarity between her on-screen beau in the video, and her former boyfriend, Brown, is hard to ignore.

Filmed in Northern Ireland in September, the shoot was thrown into comic controversy when Rihanna and the rest of the film crew were moved-on after a farmer took umbrage at her getting topless on his land.

Other characteristically British backdrops used in the shoot were a housing estate in central Belfast and a fish-and-chip shop. Along the way, she also gets “MINE” tattooed on her ass, vomits a mouthful of ribbons, shoplifts from a convenience store and weeps in a corner. Needless to say, it’s an engaging watch.

Def Jam will release Rihanna’s sixth album ‘Talk That Talk’ on November 18th, 2011.
