Red Bull Music Academy presents H∆SHTAG$ - Series Trailer

H∆SHTAG$ is a new string of mini-documentaries brought to you by the Red Bull Music Academy that poses the question “What does the internet sound like?” The series will explore the influence of the web on current music trends and, according to the blurb on the Red Bull site, “takes into consideration that the Internet is no longer a “new” distribution channel for “old” content, but has become a pivotal part of our everyday lives, influencing not only the way music is consumed – but also the way music is discussed, and most importantly, the way music sounds.”

The preview shows interview snippets with music’s biggest “-O“s – FlyLo, Shlohmo and HudMo – alongside How To Dress Well, Mount Kimbie, Main Attrakionz and Bondax. With topics ranging from cloud rap to seapunk, expect an exploration of themes and memes brought to you by some of the most influential artists around at the moment, as well as commentators from leading blogs and platforms. We’re especially excited to announce that the final episode will see Dummy make an appearance, so make sure to watch out for that.

Every Tuesday, H∆SHTAG$ will be streaming exclusively on www.redbullmusicacademy.com, beginning January 29th and running until early March.
