Premiere: Zora Jones - Moonstar

Fractal Fantasy is fast becoming one of Dummy's favourite labels, and they've never even released a track.

For the uninitiated, Fractal Fantasy is a channel run by Barcelona-based DJs and producers Sinjin Hawke and Zora Jones who have put a slew of tracks from a tight knit of artists online over the past few months. They're not really a "record label" in any conventional sense, as none of the tracks that appear online are actually available for download or purchase – instead, the tracks come paired with a dazzling, distinctive, three dimensional visual component, a chrome-plated aesthetic that complements the hi-def, hi-octane music. Basically, when most dance tracks first appear as rips from a Boiler Room set on some Youtube channel months before they even have a name let alone a release date, a place with the immediacy and unique identity of Fractal Fantasy is essential.

All of which leads us to Moonstar, a new Fractal Fantasy track by Zora Jones. It's short – barely more than 90 seconds – but it's a booming, bass-and-crash roller. The video (crafted by visual artist VL-TR) takes place in a mixture between an aircraft hangar and a showroom, giving us an almost fetishistic gaze at a shiny drone. To go with the video, we've got a new press shot of Zora which has been meticulously constructed to resemble digital plaster of Paris.
