Premiere: Throwing Shade - Pure Life
Producer/NTS DJ/Ethnomusicologist Throwing Shade's recent '19 Jewels' EP got a love of love around these parts, and one of its best tracks, the droney 'n' mystical 'n' mysterious Pure Life, has been given a music video.
The video for Pure Life is not nearly as awesome as the video for the EP's lead track Sweet Tooth (but then again, nothing is as awesome as the video for Sweet Tooth), but it's still a treat of kaleidoscopes and fractals that complements the zoned-out vibe of the song nicely.
There's a launch party for her '19 Jewels' EP happening tomorrow (June 5th) the Scotch of St. James in Central London where she'll be playing live, joined by fellow NTS Radio DJ mates Reverie, James Massiah, and ace rap producer Darq E Freaker (who released his own EP recently).
