Premiere: MGUN - Files React

Born and raised in Detroit, Manuel Gonzales, better know as MGUN, will make a debut appearance on Don’t Be Afraid with his latest ‘The Upstairs Apt.’ EP. First appearing on the Dummy radar in 2010 as NSNT PRJCT – a collaboration with Kyle Hall, MGUN has also toured with Underground Resistance as well as dropping his first solo release on Kyle Hall’s Wild Oats imprint.

As the ninth release of the London label – also home to Mr. Beatnick, Photonz, Claws For? and Semtek, who runs the label – ‘The Upstairs Apt.’ EP has shown a strong consistency, venturing into the territory of lo-fi techno and acid, laying down an uplifting, sumptuous groove that is especially embodied in the slinky and oscillatory Files React, which now has a nuclear-themed video, premiered above.
