Premiere: G R E A T W A V E S - The Shore

Manchester band exploring the fey vastness of nature and shoegaze release first official video through Dummy exclusively.

When we were sent this video, Youtube suggested lots of videos of great waves. Where they used a soundtrack, it was Jack Johnson-style jolly “Surf-o-clock!” tracks. Maybe, sometime soon, all videos of great waves will be soundtracked by G R E A T W A V E S.

G R E A T W A V E S are a wonderful duo from Manchester, part of the fascinating scene are a scene operating around this tremendous venue called the Bunker that Money established.

Their sound is as their name would suggest, big and arrogant and pretty, and combine the bright, fey tones of the LAs with the melodic vastness of Cop Shoot Cop and cold cod-Balearica of Air France.) Their first single is out on Salford label Sways, and this video, which we are chuffed to share, was directed by Nick Delap of Egyptian Hip Hop. Surf’s up!
