Premiere: G R E A T W A V E S - You

G R E A T W A V E S have been on Dummy's radar on-and-off for a couple of years now. Once upon a time they were a duo, made up of Manchester boys David Lacy and Oliver Cooper, but today the project is a solo concern for Lacy, who is also now based a little further afield in Liverpool. G R E A T W A V E S make wide, expansive music – part-song, part-sound vista. It's not a million miles away from the music of buddies and sometime labelmates M O N E Y (and no, that's not just because of their eagerness with the spacebar).

Their new single is called You and comes produced by Sean Falt and Guy Étienne of REGAL SAFARI. The video was made in collaboration with local filmmaker Liam Healy and graphics man Adam Griffiths and is, thematically, based around the lifecycle – birth, life, death, resurrection. Cheery!
