Erol Alkan is known for many things. The celebrated DJ that brought dance and punk together with the early 2000s defining clubnight Trash, before launching a career as superstar as the DJs he slew. Or, with Richard Norris as Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve, a psych lover and cratedigger. Or, on his recent ‘Another Bugged Out! Mix/Another Bugged In! Selection’ mix CD, a man obsessed with mutant house music.

But he is and always will be an indie kid at heart. In a lengthy interview with Raf Daddy (of The 2 Bears fame) for Topman CTRL, Erol discusses the topic of indie music in depth, covering everything from his legendary Trash clubnight to his love of Stereolab, which we are premiering here.
