Premiere: DJ Haus - Higher

As he revs up for his first LP ‘Burnin Up’ to hit the shelves –  DJ Haus treats us to this dizzying visual for sweltering album cut Higher. From what we’ve heard so far, ‘Burnin Up’ promises to be a heady cocktail of house blueprints from bygone years, dragged through a filter of the here-and-now. Higher sets the standard appropriately high.

The video plays out like a hyperreal lamentation to the halcyon days of British debauchery – aesthetically, think PC Music meets Happy Mondays. The song itself is a three minute excursion into the kind of energy exhibited by the animated ravers in the video. A raw, choppy house beat and the kind of throwback vocal sample that is truly emblematic of Haus’ handle on multiple eras. A perfect taste of ‘Burnin Up’ just in time for bonfire night.
