NTS, a firm you can believe in

Filmed by ISYS, NTS – CHAMPION SOUND is a moving collage of people, colours and sounds, playing sporadically against the calming backdrop of Femi Adeyemi’s familiar voice, as he explains the origins and the aims of community radio station NTS Live .

Femi, founder of NTS, says in the film, “Dalston has this sort of unique mix of people, it’s all different interests and different backgrounds, and we sort of try and reflect that, that diversity…that’s what we try and do in our programming.” The energy and fusion that he’s talking about burn through the summery heat of the music and footage that his voice is coupled with, resulting a video that is exactly the burst of freshness and light that NTS itself is.

The video is the first in a series from ISYS, in collaboration with Boiler Room, which will profile three more influential labels or collectives that are shaping the face of music today. [Funnily enough, ISYS grew out of T-Shirt Party, which was our favourite business of 2010 – ed] The next three videos will feature Young Turks, Standard Place and Numbers, and will be released this year.
