Nadia Ksaiba - Virtual Lover

Nadia Ksaiba has been a regular fixture on London's DJ circuit for quite a few years now, so it's great to hear that she's releasing her first piece of original music later this month. Virtual Lover will be released on September 23rd via Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound imprint, and you can check out an ace teaser for it above.

The best part of the video is that you get to peep Ksaiba's faultless record collection, which features the likes of Ashford & Simpson, David Bowie's 'Low', and something from defunct vinyl imprint Dissident. Virtual Lover is the video's soundtrack, and it's so damn catchy, a disco pop song that's got the fun and funk of an 80s boogie bomb and yet the sort of weird streak running through it that's clearly been inherited by the likes of International Deejay Gigolo and Output Recordings, and more recently Cómeme and I'm a Cliché.

Phantasy Sound will release Virtual Lover on September 23rd. Nadia Ksaiba will be DJing at our Dummy AGM, joining the likes of Darkstar, Larry Gus and Tirzah and Micachu, on September 28th – more information and tickets here.
