Mykki Blanco – My Head Is A Stone

In all of 2012’s youth rap explosion, there are few more fascinating figures than New York’s Michael David Quattlebaum, who records as Mykki Blanco, who could be rap’s first transgendered star. That headline aside, her music is percussive, furious, the true product of a what the New York Times called a rebel soul adrift and she runs with a crew built around UNO NYC, of of the most exciting dance/art labels of the moment.
