Mykki Blanco - Feeling Special

Just like the track itself, the visual for Mykki Blanco’s Feeling Special is a stripped-back performance from the New York-based rapper, almost reminiscent of her startling breakthrough track/video Join My Militia (Nas Gave Me A Perm) in its confrontational energy. Over a low-riding beat full of bite, Blanco refers to herself as “hip hop’s Osama” from the backseat of a car, while also dancing in the headlights. It’s a simple and sharp reflection of Quattlebaum’s film noir influences as well as the relationship between Blanco’s multiple personas, and, in general, makes us very excited for the rapper’s next release.
