Maria Minerva - Once Upon

Not Not Fun star, Estonian songwriter Maria Minerva has released a self-directed video for Once Upon from her recent LP ‘Caberet Cixous’ today. Once Upon is one of the two instrumental tracks in the album, and it soundtracks a gritty video of the grey Britain. Recorded on a camcorder, this video displays Maria’s journey from north London’s Stoke Newington to south London’s New Cross, where her university (Goldsmiths College) is located.

In Maria Minerva’s words, “The video will always remind me of my sad, early days in London. This city really got the best of me but also there’s this urban poetry to it, and I guess together with the track title, it tells some kind of story…”
