Lana Del Rey - Chelsea Hotel No. 2

Despite all of Lana Del Rey’s gimmicks, laughably over-done monologues, and awkward reflections of our own fickle approach to pop culture, occasionally all of her Instagram-filtered stars align and she does something that hits exactly the right spot in the same way that the glorious Video Games did in 2011. In this understated (or, as understated as Del Rey can possibly be) cover of Leonard Cohen’s song Chelsea Hotel No. 2, the singer has a touching softness to the voice the world fell in love with, and looks just the right amount of vintage as she performs.
