Karen Gwyer - Lay Claim To My Grub

Following on from her debut album 'Needs Continuum' last year, Karen Gwyer will release an EP titled 'New Roof' on No Pain In Pop in February, featuring two 15-minute plus, totally vocal-less tracks said to be more "monolithic, weighty and mechanistic" than much of her previous work.

One of those large new works, Lay Claim To My Grub, has been released with a video made by Gwyer herself. It basically looks like various scans of open shells and a ring of white light on a slideshow, though these individual parts, like the music itself, gesture to much more when taken as a whole.
