Gramme - Too High

Long-absent disco punks Gramme have released a video for Too High, ahead of the release of their (very) long-awaited debut album later this month. It’s a jaunty array of primary colours, stop motion babies and printers, and was directed by London’s Scratch Pictures, who previously worked with the band on the promo for Girls Talk.

Though the band disappeared in 1999 in the wake of their ‘Pre-Release’ EP, their influence has been wide-ranging, with James Murphy and Hot Chip both name-checking the group as integral to their own sound.

Over the last two years some 12” edits from Goddard emerged, followed by a trio of largely unannounced white label EPs which form the backbone of new record ‘Fascination’. The album comes out on Tim ‘Love’ Lee’s Tummy Touch Records, and there’s a launch party on 26th February, with Goddard suitably on DJ duty.

The single’s also available as free download on the Tummy Touch SoundCloud.

Tummy Touch will release ‘Fascination’ on 18th February 2013
