Eaux - Too Dark To Tell

Truth be told, there’s not all that much going on in the new video for Eaux’s Too Dark To Tell, which served as the closing track on their ‘i’ EP, released in November. After ten seconds of darkness, blueish static gradually emerges, with caresses of obscured oceanic projections later flowing mysteriously – but it’s that very simplicity that’s the key to its success, tapping right into the track’s tangible airs of strain and uncertainty. What you’re left with is the sense of a group growing in confidence in their aesthetic – matching their sparse, shadowed sounds with a visual similarly reminiscent of the midnight hour.
